Identity Is Not Discovered — It’s Received

We spend a lot of time trying to find ourselves. But Scripture never tells us to search for identity—it tells us to receive it.

Identity isn’t hiding from you. It was given to you.

Before you ever performed, achieved, failed, or succeeded, God already spoke who you were. Long before labels were attached, Heaven had a name for you. That name wasn’t based on your productivity or perfection—it was based on His intention.

“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” — John 1:12

You don’t earn sonship. You don’t work your way into belonging. You receive it.

When you live from a received identity, striving loses its grip. Comparison quiets down. And peace becomes possible again.

Let today be the day you stop chasing who you already are—and simply receive what God has already spoken. You are His gift to the world! Let the world receive from you what was given to you!
